Congratulations on your pregnancy. Learning about your pregnancy and birth is the first step to preparing for labor and birth. In the class we learn about the process of - the physiological process of birth - signs of labor -pregnancy anatomy -the stages of birth - common medical interventions and induction - practical birth outcomes. - inductions and cesarian birth - breast/ chest-feeding - infant sleep and digestion. Parents will learn how labor decisions are connected to the production and maintenance of breast milk as well as practical tools to help communication postpartum. While lactation can usually be seen as the laboring parents struggle or success my intention is for parents and community to share the experience and challenges.
