Preparing for Birth 2022 join us!

Preparing for Birth and Postpartum 2022 is a three-month series hosted by Healing Internationale and African Services Committee.

Starting March 10th, every Thursday from 11-12:30 pm, through May 2022 virtual classes will be held in 90-minute sessions. Clients will prepare for their birth and postpartum journey with Childbirth Education, Mental Health in Perinatal Period, Navigating Hospital Birth, and Postpartum and Community Support. Sessions will be presented in English, Spanish, and French per month series. March Series will be presented in English, April will be presented in Spanish, and the May series will be presented in French. Clients will walk away with information on maternal and child health education, mental health, and wellness resources as they navigate the healthcare system to make informed choices about their pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Sessions are created with culturally competent content working together with African Services Committee. African Services Committee is a multi-service human rights agency in Harlem dedicated to assisting immigrants, refugees, and asylees from across the African Diaspora.

Our facilitator Natalie Peña is a first-generation Caribbean-American bilingual full-spectrum doula and childbirth educator based in Washington Heights.

She is the founder of Healing Internationale whose mission is to leverage technology to advance the lives of people who socially, or culturally cannot access sexual and reproductive health education and healing.

Clients will receive a gift after attending 4 sessions. To register please email info@healinginternationale.com or WhatsApp +1 (917) 306-2396 to receive the Zoom link for all sessions. Registration and the event is completely free and we encourage all birthing community-based in Harlem, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Clients in the Bronx are encouraged to connect for birth and postpartum doula support services and referrals.
